The MSOD Project collects demographic, educational and career intentions data on medical students at different stages of the medical education continuum. This data is intended to capture a comprehensive range of information which can be analysed to identify trends, comparisons and the impact of different educational experiences on career outcomes.
There are currently three questionnaires administered by MSOD – the Commencing Medical Student Questionnaire (CMSQ), the Exit Questionnaire (EQ) and the Post Graduate Year 1 (PGY1)/Intern Questionnaire. Each of these has been developed by the MSOD Project and is administered through medical schools to their students. The MSOD Project also collects information from medical schools during each participant’s medical degree regarding clinical placements, electives and enrollment status.
