One of the critical planned objectives of the MSOD is to survey the medical students at the undergraduate level from the commencement of their medical program, track them through their educational experiences in placements and electives and survey them in their final year of their studies. In the final year of the medical program, it is proposed that all medical students who completed the Commencing Medical Students Questionnaire be asked to complete an Exit Survey.
The data from the Exit Survey is vital for determining changes in intention and behaviour that may have resulted during the training program within medical schools. It will provide the information required to identify any career plans that have developed or changed since the commencement of the medical program and provide a springboard (including forward contact details) from which to longitudinally track the students after they leave medical school. The complete set of variables and the methodology for the Exit Survey are yet to be confirmed.
* The Exit Questionnaire will be available in the near future.
